DHANYAMLADHARA

“Dhanya” means “grain”, “amla” means “sour or fermented” and “dhara” means “continuous pouring or stream”.

This is the pouring of a herbal decoction all over the body or over a specific affected region maintaining a continuous stream and constant temperature. The decoction is prepared by fermenting a number of grains.

Benefits

This treatment reduces inflammation and pain, and is therapeutic for arthritis, rheumatism and other inflammatory diseases. This treatment enhances blood and lymph circulation burns fat and clears blockages from the circulating channels.

Procedure

This treatment is done with or without oil application. The decoction is warmed up and poured over the affected part or all over the whole body. The used decoction is collected, reheated and used again for the prescribed time.
